The Playful Bench
This bench is designed to emulate the feeling of sitting on a log out in nature. The curved form can be engaged with in a number of ways that keeps each experience fun and engaging. The ribs are made from cnc'd birch plywood and douglas fir boards. The design utilizes established manufacturing processes and standard dimension lumber to minimize waste. The piece is assembled with screw so that no glue is necessary. It can be shipped in a flat box, minimizing excess packaging and CO2 emissions.
